The enterprise was built within the framework of the Abkhazian-Russian preferential lending investment program with the support of VTB Bank. Construction began in August 2024. The total cost of the facility was 1.56 billion rubles, the majority of which was a preferential loan.
The plant has completed the commissioning of equipment, personnel have been trained, trial batches of products have been produced, and a modern quality control laboratory has been equipped. The assortment includes cheeses, milk, kefir, sour cream, and yogurts. The enterprise can process up to 20 tons of milk per shift.
At the initial stage, 35 jobs have been created at the enterprise, and another 10 will be added when it reaches full capacity.
The project implementation contributes to the development of Abkhazia's agro-industrial complex, import substitution, and the provision of high-quality dairy products to the population. The plant will also contribute to strengthening the economic potential of the Ochamchira district and the republic as a whole.
