The ceremony was attended by President of Abkhazia Badra Gunba, Vice President Beslan Bigvava, Prime Minister Vladimir Delba, Russian Ambassador to Abkhazia Vyacheslav Gladkov, members of the Government, members of Parliament, mothers of fallen soldiers, war veterans, volunteers, and members of the public.

In his address today The Head of State noted the role of Vladislav Ardzinba in the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia.

"In this crucial hour for the country, the people were led by the great son of Abkhazia, Vladislav Grigorievich Ardzinba. By taking responsibility for the fate of the Motherland, he managed to unite the people, instill faith in them and lead them to Victory," Badra Gunba said.
