The repair of road facilities is carried out within the framework of the Investment Program with financial support from the Russian Federation. The decision to carry out repair work was made in December 2025 at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission through the reallocation of funds. 

Earlier, as part of the program for the repair and restoration of the street and road network in the settlements of Abkhazia, financed from the federal budget of the Russian Federation (amounting to 1 billion rubles), the first stage of reconstruction of road infrastructure in the Kodor Valley, costing 205.5 million rubles, began in 2025. All work on this site is planned to be completed by December 2026.

Abkhazia is paying great attention to the implementation of road restoration projects, which are being carried out with the financial assistance of Russia.

 Special attention was paid to the quality of work performed and adherence to deadlines during the inspection. The road surface renovation in Ochamchira is an important stage in the development of the city's transport infrastructure and the entire district, contributing to increased comfort and safety of road traffic. Russia continues to provide Abkhazia with comprehensive support in the development and modernization of its road sector.
