The school was opened 100 years ago as a primary school, and in 1963 it became a secondary comprehensive school. Over its century-long history, several generations of villagers have graduated from it, contributing to the development of the republic, including participants of the Great Patriotic War and the Patriotic War of the Abkhazian people.

The President congratulated the teaching staff, students, and residents of the village on the significant date, presented the school with a commemorative gift and financial assistance.
