The President emphasized that Abkhazia has always been a multi-confessional country with tolerance between religions.

The Head of State noted that these traditions are important for maintaining peace, stability, and tranquility in society among representatives of different nationalities and faiths.

Mufti Muhammad-Hajji Erkenov thanked for the hospitality. He conveyed warm wishes from the Head of Karachay-Cherkessia, Rashid Temrezov.

Muhammad-Hajji Erkenov expressed readiness to provide assistance and support to the Unified Religious Administration of Muslims of Abkhazia within the framework of bilateral cooperation. He also emphasized that the spiritual administrations of the two republics will continue to develop cooperation. 

The President noted the fraternal ties of the peoples of the Caucasus and stressed that during the Patriotic War of the Abkhazian people, brothers from all the republics of the North Caucasus, including from Karachay-Cherkessia, came to their aid.

The head of state emphasized that Abkhazia cherishes this memory and the names of the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the republic, and future generations will always remember their feat.

Badra Gunba noted the importance of creating conditions for interaction between our peoples, including within the framework of religious communication.
