President of Abkhazia Badra Gunba received the appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia Vyacheslav Gladkov
During the meeting, current issues of Abkhazian-Russian cooperation were discussed, as well as the prospects for further strengthening the allied relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation. 

By decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin dated June 26, 2026, Vyacheslav Gladkov was appointed Ambassador of Russia to Abkhazia. 

In the coming days, an official ceremony will be held for Vyacheslav Gladkov to present his credentials to the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba.
