During the meeting, issues of developing cooperation between Abkhazia and the Russian State Social University in the issue of personnel training were discussed.

Badra Gunba noted the special attitude in Abkhazia towards people who, in difficult years for the republic, supported the choice of the people of Abkhazia to build an independent state.

Andrey Khazin was a member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in 2008 and voted for the recognition of Abkhazia as an independent state.

The Head of State expressed gratitude to Andrey Khazin for his position and stressed that Abkhazia treats with special respect those who supported the choice of the people of Abkhazia to build an independent state.

Badra Gunba noted the high level of relations between Abkhazia and the Russian Federation.

"We will continue to strengthen and develop strategic cooperation between our states," the President said. 

In turn, Andrey Khazin proposed to expand the educational opportunities for Abkhaz applicants and students at the Russian State Social University.

The President of Abkhazia thanked the Rector of the RSSU for the initiative and expressed hope for the development of cooperation.
