Head of the Presidential Administration Beslan Eshba announced the Presidential Decree appointing Beslan Tsvizhba as Minister of Defense.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Badra Gunba congratulated Beslan Tsvizhba and expressed confidence that, under his leadership, the ministry would effectively carry out the tasks related to the further strengthening of the Armed Forces.
Badra Gunba emphasized that, amid a complex international environment and emerging challenges, special attention must be paid to the country’s defense capability. Among the priority areas, the President highlighted improving the combat readiness of the army, enhancing the command and control system, strengthening military discipline, and raising the level of personnel training.
“Our Armed Forces must remain a reliable guarantor of the security, sovereignty, and peaceful life of the citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia. The state will continue to give priority attention to the development of the army, the modernization of its material and technical base, and the social support of military personnel,” the President noted.
The Head of State also expressed gratitude to former Minister of Defence Vladimir Anua for his contribution to the establishment and development of the Armed Forces, expressing confidence that his knowledge and guidance would continue to serve the good of the Fatherland.
Badra Gunba wished the personnel success and emphasized that ensuring the country’s defense capability remains one of the state’s key priorities.
